Rotary Cutter Blades 45mm (10-pack)

Ten replacement 45mm rotary blades in Japanese SKS-7 steel, packed in a screw-top storage case. They fit Driffy cutters and every other 45mm rotary cutter we have tested, including Olfa and Fiskars.

Will these fit my cutter?

If your cutter takes a 45mm blade, yes. The 45mm size is standardised across brands: same outside diameter, same centre hole, same 0.3mm thickness. We have checked these against Olfa, Fiskars, Sew Easy and the supermarket own-brands.

The quickest way to be sure is to look at your existing blade. If it measures 45mm across, this pack replaces it. If it measures 28mm or 60mm, it will not.

Steel or titanium?

These are our plain steel blades. We also sell a titanium coated 5 pack. The difference in practice:

If you mostly cut quilting cotton, steel is the sensible buy and a 10 pack lasts most quilters a long time. If you regularly cut heavier material or several layers at once, the titanium coating earns its money.

When to change a blade

A blade is done when it skips threads, leaves the last few fibres uncut, or needs a second pass. That usually means a nick in the edge rather than general bluntness, and no amount of pressure fixes it. Pressing harder to compensate is the main cause of wavy cuts and sore wrists.

Handling

These arrive sharp. Keep them in the case until needed, change blades away from the edge of the table, and put the used blade straight into the case rather than the bin. Keep out of reach of children.
