xA 45mm rotary cutter with four spare blades: two titanium coated and two SKS-7 steel. Enough to see most quilters through a long stretch of projects without reordering.
Why four spares
Blades wear faster than people expect. Cutting a queen-size quilt's worth of strips will take the edge off a blade, and a single nick from a pin finishes one instantly. Having spares to hand is the difference between changing a tired blade and pressing harder because you cannot face the trip to the shops.
The mix is deliberate: use the steel blades for quilting cotton, and keep the titanium ones for denim, canvas or when you are stacking several layers.

Left or right handed
The blade mounts on either side. Undo the nut, swap the blade and washers to the other face, rebuild in the same order.
